Either way, prepare to go fast

I've probably been asked 100,000 times, ok maybe not, but more times then could be answered. So I'm here to present you with an answer. But are you sure you want one? Ok! But its probably not what you wanted to hear!

Whether you're a parent looking to start your kid off to a racing career, or a teenager looking for something to tear up your neighborhood it really all depends. For my 12th birthday, my dad bought me a cheap 49cc mini quad. It was a briliant black without a spec of dirt on the wheels, I had never felt so many butterflies in my stomach because I knew that this little 4 wheeled fury was mine to share with no one if I had so chosen not to.

Then there was my friend, who bought a 49cc pocket bike. I had never seen a piece of machinery that looked as good as mine until then. I had to race him, confident I challenged him to a race down the closest flat straight dirt road in sight, and he blew dust in my face all the way to the finish line. I couldn't believe the dirt in my mouth that I had just lost, so I talked him into one more race, the only difference was there was corners. We lined up chins to our handlebars, hands griped tightly, and eyes locked on the pretty flag girl, she dropped her hands and we were off, he had me off the line coating my face with a second lair of dirt aswell as to the first corner. He was hard on the brakes, and I was hard on the throttle as I blew by continuing to leave him behind further through the first and second corner. By the time I had passed the finish line he was just entering the last corner, I couldn't help but grin across the finish line knowing he was tasting earths medicine. I made it home faster then ever that day anxious to brag to mom and dad about my victory.

Bottom line

If you're looking for something to get you from 0-30 faster then anyone with 4 mini wheels, if you want something that has speed, if you crave for something that will pass your competition on the flat straights, the lightweight pocket bike is what your butt should be seated on.

If you want to enjoy going around corners at super speed, through water, or across mud without noticing the stable mini 4 wheeled monster is for you, but you're going to have to sacrifice the blistering acceleration that a mini bike would otherwise provides for you.

For the kids the quad is the best, its safer and more stable at any speed then the bike and is probably the best to start any mini race car driver on. But if you or the young one is looking to eventually get into the two wheeled sport, start off with the bike, if its necessary for the kids you can buy training wheels to give a mini helping hand.

So that's it, its all up to you from here, whether you can't wait to get on two wheels and speed off into the sunset, or twist and turn on 4 wheels around everyone that gets in your way to victory, all that stands in your was is the choice of wheather to use cash or credit.

Enjoy.

Here's a video for you guys of my mini quad,
that I still have and enjoy to this day.
